Henna Body Art

I absolutely love painting henna body art! I got my first henna when i was 14 years old at the Michigan Renaissance Festival and afterwards I begged my parents for a henna kit for my birthday that year. The rest is history! I've been practicing every since. Now I have the skills to paint pretty much anything I put my mind to. These are just a few examples of my work, I also have a whole book of designs to choose from or I can work from your ideas or Photos you provide for inspiration. You can check my Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/HeathersHennaTree to find the events I will be painting at or call/text me at 734-787-1729 to set up your own private appointment.

All of the henna we use is mixed fresh for each show or appointment. We use pure henna powder and mix it ourselves with lemon juice and Lavender oil. This way you get a fantastic stain and we know exactly what is in our henna for your safety. If you are concerned that you could have an allergy please ask for a spot test before we start your design. Henna stains are not guaranteed as everyone has different skin and some stain better and last longer than others. Most people keep the stain for 1-2 weeks sometimes longer with proper care.

How to Care for your Henna

Let paste dry, as it dries we will apply a glycerin spray to lock in moisture and help the paste keep staining your skin longer. Leave the paste on as long as possible, we recomend 6-8 hours if you can. The longer you can keep the paste on the darker it can stain your skin and the longer it will last. When you are ready to remove the paste make sure to scrape off whatever is left (DO NOT USE WATER TO REMOVE PASTE!) Let the design air out for a bit if you can then cover the stain with cooking oil or natural lip balm before exposure to water. Avoid using lotion, don't scrub the area and shave lightly over the area if needed. Enjoy!
